Champagne Jello Shots: Festive New Year's Eve Recipe
Ring in the New Year with these delightful Champagne and Vodka Jello Shots. Combining the effervescence of champagne with the smoothness of vodka, these treats are perfect for your celebration.
Ingredients:
3 cups Champagne or Prosecco divided - 1 cup & 2 cups
⅔ cup granulated sugar
4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
4 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1 cup vodka (feel free to use plain or a flavored vodka of your choice)
Optional: Edible glitter, edible gold, sanding sugar, or sprinkles to garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Pan: Lightly grease your jello molds or an 8x8-inch pan with cooking spray.
Heat Champagne and Sugar: In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of champagne and the granulated sugar. Heat over low heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Be careful not to allow the mixture to boil.
Add Gelatin: Remove the saucepan from heat. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over the champagne mixture, one envelope at a time, stirring continuously until each is fully dissolved.
Add Remaining Ingredients: Stir in the lemon juice, 1 cup of vodka, and the remaining 1 cup of champagne.
Pour into Pan: Carefully pour the mixture into the prepared molds or 8x8-inch pan.
Chill: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until the jello squares are fully set, ideally overnight.
Cut and Garnish: Once set, cut the jello into squares and right before serving, sprinkle with your garnish of choice for a festive touch.
Notes:
For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the champagne and vodka with sparkling lemonade or ginger ale.
Ensure the gelatin is fully dissolved to achieve a smooth texture.
Adding edible glitter just before serving helps maintain its appearance.
Enjoy your Champagne and Vodka Jello shots and have a fantastic New Year's Eve!
